Walking Mod was born in January of 2014 as an answer to the question: Where can I find all of the outdoor clothing brands and styles I love in one place?We wanted to curate a collection of the most fashionable and functional pieces that our brands offer which we couldn't find at any other outdoor store, like Killtec and Ilse Jacobsen. Voila!  You'll find it at Walking Mod.  Whether you're looking for the perfect raincoat or a puffer jacket, you'll need not look further than our store.  We've got you covered no matter the season or the weather.  We have brands in stock that are difficult to find elsewhere. We are the exclusive dealer for Killtec and GIGA DX by Killtec in western Washington State.  Come on by and get ready to do the outdoors in style!

Something for Everyone

In the early years we only offered women's outdoor clothing, but over time, our store became so popular with the guys that we had to bring in men's outdoor clothing too. Launched in the Spring of 2019,  you'll now find a wonderful selection of men's shirts, jackets and pants from some of their favorite brands, like Kuhl and Patagonia. As well we've introduced an adorable assortment of Patagonia baby clothing including the one and only Baby Reversible Tribbles Hoody! You'll find something for everyone at Walking Mod. The Killtec brand is the perfect brand for the Pacific Northwest as almost all the outerwear is, at a minimum, water resistant and often waterproof, including puffer coats and jackets!  Most styles are lightweight, breathable and have taped seams to keep you warm, comfortable and protected from the elements.  It's a must have for those living in the Seattle area including our own Skagit County, Island County and Whatcom County.  We always have a fantastic collection of Killtec jacket styles and colors to suit your every need.

    The owner of this store knows her product and how it will fit you.  I appreciated knowing if a style ran large or not. The inventory includes the top of the line shoes from Jambu and Merrell and clothes from manufacturers such as Kuhl and Killtec.  This will be an annual shopping place for often as I can get here.

    The owner is a great buyer and has curated a very nice selection of outerwear and outdoorsy brands (think Patagonia, Löle, Kuhl) that can be hard to find north of Seattle. She has a line of European raincoats, Ilse Jacobsen, that are fantastic and come in really juicy colors. I love the one I got, and the lightweight Kuhl jacket I bought gets compliments!

    This store has all the great brands. It was cooler than expected in June and I purchased an amazing Lole jacket that is so tiny when packed. They also have great all weather gear that is very nice looking. I bought a Killtec raincoat that I wore for the rest of my month in Washington.  I don't usually splurge but no regrets. Highly recommend.
